Another warm start to the week

Happy Monday!

How do you know it’s Monday?  Easy, step outside…if it is sunny and warm the Weekend is surely over and Monday has arrived!

Today, in what is now typical Monday fashion, will feature lots of sunshine and warming temperatures, well into the 60s/near 70.

There is a chance of a brief shower overnight, mainly north of the Pike, exiting around dawn Tuesday.

Also, for the second week in a row, Tuesday will likely be the warmest day of the week.

High’s will approach 80 degrees in the afternoon, particularly north and west of Boston.

Boston is still waiting on their first 80 of the year after doing it first on April 13th last year and then three more times on May 11-13.

After Tuesday, things get a bit muddled…there will be a coastal storm hanging around well south of New England.

If it drifts a bit farther north, we will have periods of showers later Wednesday into Thursday along with clouds and cooler temperatures.

Currently, models have trended a bit farther south, meaning less chances of rain…more on this to come in the next 24 hours.

I will leave you with some good news today…

8pm sunsets start on Thursday!

From May 16th through August 3rd we will get to enjoy post 8pm sunsets!

Finally, and sadly, the Aurora show has ended (for now).  After what was one of the greatest shows in decades here in New England over the Weekend, the giant sunspot responsible has rotated out of view of Earth.  The sun’s active period is likely to continue in the coming weeks, so there may be additional chances for aurora viewing, we will keep you posted!
