A look ahead to the weekend and Thanksgiving

Hard to believe, but today marks the halfway point in November…time keeps flying by!

To this point, it has been a rather chilly and very dry month.

We have had only 3 days with temperatures above the average.

And, only 2 days with measurable precipitation.  Continuing the dry stretch dating back to the beginning of October.

I guess now would be a good time to remind you that there are only 39 shopping days left before Christmas!  Yikes!

As for the weather…

We’ve got a warming trend coming and some 60s in the forecast over the next few days.

As for impactful weather, it appears there are two days to focus on…

Saturday:

A storm with roots in the Tropics will slide offshore of New England Saturday night.

This will bring a period of rain, heaviest along the Coastline, during the daylight hours of Saturday.

Areas farther to the west will see much less rainfall.

Things quiet down and cool off by Sunday and into the start of next week.  No travel concerns early on.

Our next storm looks to arrive next Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving.  Right now it looks like a decent rain event for much of the Northeast.

Finally, it’s early, but Thanksgiving Day looks partly sunny, seasonal and breezy right now, high around 50.
