Good Morning!
Welp, another day in the soup. Today is our 16th day this month with measurable precipitation in Boston. That is just one day shy of the June record for most days with rain in the City. And, keep in mind that just because it didn’t rain in Boston on any given day doesn’t mean it didn’t rain elsewhere in our area. Combing stats from Boston, Worcester and Blue Hill, there has been rain at one or multiple reporting sites on 24 of 28 days so far this month. UGH.
There will be numerous showers and thunderstorms around today. Most should stay below severe levels, but there could be some localized flooding and gusty winds in any of the storms.
Looking ahead, there is some GOOD NEWS!
While we cannot rule out an isolated shower or storm over the next few days, the coverage will be much less. In general, lots more sunshine and much fewer storms Thursday through Saturday.
Storm chances rise again on Sunday and I do think we there may be some scattered action early next week as well.
However, I do not foresee any washouts.
One thing is for sure, the humidity is here to stay for a while and temperatures will continue to range from the upper 70s to the mid to upper 80s through the holiday.
