Some rain to end the week and a chilly weekend

Good morning!

Today will be a lovely day with a good deal of sunshine.  Clouds will increase this evening ahead of a weak storm system.

There will likely be some light snow and sleet north and west of Boston overnight.

Not expecting any accumulation locally, but there may be some slippery spots near and outside of 495.

Temperatures will be warm enough on Friday for plain ol’ rain.

We expect the steadiest rain to fall in the afternoon and evening hours on Friday.

Still, this will be a minor event with rainfall totals generally less than a half inch.

Currently, this is the 5th driest January to date in Boston.  A nice departure from some of the very wet months we have experienced recently!

This Weekend will start off quite chilly.  The cold will bottom out on Saturday with a quick recovery during the day on Sunday.

Spring will be in the air next week…High temperatures will top 50 degrees most days.

Some wet weather is likely later Wednesday and Thursday,

No snow in the forecast through the end of the month!
