Vanessa hails from Berklee, has toured the world singing and playing music, and is currently on tour to promote the release of her debut album entitled heart soul & saxophone. On her debut album, Vanessa demonstrates her skills as a master musician and songwriter, blending her blues background with elements of funk, rock, and soul and revealing her musical prowess as she effortlessly transitions from songs full of fiery, powerful vocals and gritty saxophone solos to soul-stirring ballads packed with raw emotion. Rounding out her band are stand-out Berklee musicians: Eric Finland (keys), Jordan Rose (drums), Justin Schornstein (bass), and Noe Socha (guitar and harmonica).

Description: Snap Circuits – build over 100 exciting projects. This program takes place one Friday a month Friday in October, November, and December. Program registration for the October meeting starts on Monday, Sept. 15 at 10 AM. The first Snap Circuits program will be held on Friday, October 10 from 3:15 to 4:30 PM. Children will build fans that whir, lights that flash, and button activated sirens, all with safe, snap-together parts and an easy-to-follow project manual. This free program is for children in grades 2 to 5.

Description: Roudenbush Community Center and the Westford Family FunFest will be offering different types of programs including art, music, drama, museum exhibits, talks artist and authors , contests and much more on the Westford Common and other Westford locations. The programs will be offered on the 1st full weekend of the month – October 2014 through Summer 2015. Other dates will be listed to let people know what is going on in Westford.
The project is partially funded through a grant through the Greater Lowell Community Foundation.
The following organizations/businesses will be involved Roudenbush community Center, Westford Historical Society, JV Fletcher Library, Westford REC, FAME, Westford Academy Drama and Music Dept., Westford Business Association and others. Local businesses near the Westford will be involved in many of the activities each month including – Art on Main St., The Fashion Truck , Connolly Insurance with activities, contests and more.

Luis Tiant, a member of the Red Sox Hall of Fame, will make a special appearance at a benefit for Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Cuba, on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 7:00 p.m., at St. Catherine Church Parish Hall, 107 N. Main St.,Westford. The event includes a silent auction, raffle, music and refreshments.
Luis will be available for autographs and pictures. The friends will supply photographers. You can also have your picture taken with the Red Sox World Series Trophy.
