September 2018 Events

 Annual  Westford Family FunFest Fall Photo Contest – Sponsored by Westford Family FunFest* and Northern Bank and Trust of Westford.

Westford Fall Photo Contest runs from September  15- October 15,2018…

Do you decorate your yard/home for the Fall/Halloween season or have a beautiful fall tree in your yard or have seen in Westford?  If the answer is YES, then you need to take a photo and enter the photo. Northern Bank and Trust of Westford will have the photos on display from Oct 1 -Oct 31.

Judges will pick the 1st and 2nd Place winners in Adult and Children’s division.  Voting for the Most Popular photo’s submitted to the Westford FunFest website will start October 18 – October 31, 2018 at Northern Bank and Trust of Westford .

Guidelines for Contest :

  • Take pictures between September 15 – October 15 with a camera or phone camera  of Westford only

  • Submit the photo(s) by email only to:  funfest@westford.org

  • Size no larger than 5″x7″ digital

  • Color or black and white.

  • Two divisions – Adult ( high school and higher)   Children – under high school
  • Include in email -Where photo was taken in Westford,  name, phone number and email address and name for photo(s), age if child under 18

  • Deadline for emailing photo(s ) will be  Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at midnight to funfest@westford.org only .

Stop by  Northern Bank of Westford 45 Main St. Westford to vote in person for the most popular Photo between Friday, October 19 – Wednesday, October 31, 2018.    Winners will be announced by November 5th.  Awards ceremony will be held – Date TBA.   Winning photo’s may be used for different PR opportunities during the year- credit will be given to winners.

September 15, 2018 = The Escape Capsule  at the Mill Works – Fallapalooza and supports Westford Non-profits 

Share with friends and mark your Calendars! Sign up for some fun as a group or individuals – Support Westford Non-profits at the Fallapalooza at the Mill Works on Saturday, Sept 15 . A portion of each sign up benefits – Westford Family FunFest Fund – supports Westford Non profits, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention(AFSP), and WASA.

The Escape Capsule will be at Fallapalooza hosted by The Mill Works in Westford on Saturday September 15th!

Time slots are limited for this one-day engagement.

The Westford Family FunFest* invites the public, organizations, businesses and others to participate and visit  the  1st Annual  Fall/Halloween Festival of Wreaths, and Creative Halloween/Fall Decorations including Artificial Pumpkins. The Festival will be held at the Westford Regency Inn – 219 Littleton Rd. Westford from Friday, Oct 12 to November 1, 2018   The Westford Regency Atrium and Lobby halls/walls will be decorated with Fall/Halloween wreaths, creative Fall and Halloween Creative Decorations including Artificial Pumpkins. .

  • The FREE Opening Reception Friday. Oct 12, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00pm in the Regency Atrium decorated with Fall/Halloween Wreaths, Creative Decorations and Artificial Pumpkin and Fall creations, Music, light refreshments, viewing and voting on the  wreaths and decorations will be offered.

  • Sunday, October7,14,21,28  10am—2:0Opm— Sunday Fall/Halloween Brunch with Piano  ***   visit Festival too.

  • Special “Senior and Friend’s only Lunch and Visit Fall/Halloween Festival –Dates Times – 11am – 2 pm.  Special menu and cost for Seniors and Friends  *** Watch for details soon.

A percentage of the Regency Breakfast is given back to the Westford Family FunFest to support the Roudenbush Community Center, WASA – Westford Against Substance Abuse; Westford Historical Society; Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell, Cameron Senior Center, and other Westford organizations throughout the year.

Fun 16+ days, Stop by and vote for the Most Popular wreaths, gingerbread creations, Fall/Halloween Creations. Bid on Selected Wreaths, Gingerbread Creations, Fall/Halloween Creations to take home after the Festival. Festival silent auction open until 4 pm on Monday, Oct 29 , 2018.

The Westford Family FunFest will be offering Breakfast with your Halloween Friends on Saturday, October 20 from 8:30am – 11:30am at the Westford Regency Inn – 219 Littleton Rd. Westford.  To make reservations and questions, call 978 692-8200 ext. 520
The Breakfast will feature a full breakfast buffet with Pancakes added for the kids or choose from the Westford Regency Breakfast Menu.    Bring your own camera and take pictures with the Halloween Friends and receive a Halloween treat too.  Make sure to wear your costume so that you can join in the Halloween Parade in the Regency Lobby during the morning.  Crafts for the Kids will be offered for a small fee – provided by the Westford Girl Scouts.

November 2018 Events 

Christmas TreeWestford Girl Scouts invite you to Westford Common at 4 pm on Sunday, November 25, 2018 for the annual tree lighting.
The Westford Girl Scout Chorus will lead the crowd in the singing of holiday songs. Our Daisy Scouts will be there to hand out song sheets and candy canes. The lights will be turned on around 4.30 pm by the Westford Garden Club, who purchase and maintain the lights
Look for Santa Claus who will circle the Common in a fire truck, then come into the PCA to warm up with hot chocolate and popcorn. Our older scouts will be there with some crafts and there will be photo opportunities with Santa, so bring your camera.

6. “Community ” Tree – families and individuals can make an ornament and bring to the Festival of Trees from Dec 7 – 12 and put on the Community Tree. The Tree will be part of the Silent Auction and funds raised will support local organizations.


Westford’s Community Christmas Chorus  Concert

Sunday, TBA soon 7:00pm at First Parish Church United.
Come and enjoy the Christmas holidays in this year’s theme – “Christmas Around the World” . It will benefit the Westford Food Pantry. The program includes an audience sing-a-long of popular carols. The 40 voice chorus, made up of singers from many area towns, will perform under the direction of Carol Rondina, and will be accompanied by Nancy Eberiel. The suggested donation for admission is $5 per fmaily, plus 2 non-perishable food items for the Westford Food Pantry. For further info – call 978 692-8416




Join us for a delightful Chanukah celebration in the heart of Westford. Be there as Westford’s largest Menorah will be lit in the center of Westford Town Common. The evening will feature music, dancing, donuts, dreidels, with special attention to children. A 7 foot tall Menorah with its kerosene lanterns ablaze will be lit to illuminate the Westford night. Be a part of it! Joyous Music, Giant Menorah. Donuts and more,
Dreidels for the kids, Government Dignitaries and Free and Open to the Entire Community The lightning and celebrations will start on WATCH FOR DATE SOON  will continue each night until when Chanukah  ends. Westford Academy 48th  Annual Holiday Bazaar  December 1 9am -3pm  watch for details 

 Seniors and Friends in Westford and surrounding towns – A Special Holiday Luncheon has been planned by the Westford Family FunFest and the Westford Regency.
