Description: Pastel Paint Like the Masters: Monet’s Water Lilies:Sat., Oct. 4 at 2 p.m. In this two-hour workshop, Maichak demonstrates how beginners to accomplished artists can paint water lilies by applying techniques revered by Claude Monet. Everyone will go home with their finished work. All materials are provided. FREE. Registration starts on Monday, Sept. 15 in Information Services. FREE. Limited to 30. Ages 14 and up.

Title: PCA presents Jazz with Elliot Steger on the Piano – 8pm

Description: Saturday, September 13 at 8pm

Award winning pianist, composer, and practicing physician, Elliot Steger will be joined by a talented group of Jazz artists. Mark Poniatowski, on acoustic bass, is on the faculty at the Berklee College of Music and has performed with Sid Caesar, Rita Moreno, Bob Newhart and live on WGBH. Jon Hazilla, on drums, is a recipient of a National Endowment of the Arts Award and on faculty at the Berklee College of Music and the New England Conservatory. Christine “Tina” Horn, on congas, plays djembe and percussion with Kellianna. Dr. Steger has been the featured artist on radio station WICN’s Jazz New England Program and has released 5 CD’s of original compositions since 1998 http://cdbaby.com/elliotsteger5.

CD’s are available at the concert for $10 and all proceeds from this show will be donated to the American Cancer Society
