Low Lily

Sat, Apr 27 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

The string and vocal group, Low Lily explores the roots and branches of American folk music with traditional influences and modern inspiration that weaves together a unique brand of acoustic music. The members of the trio- Liz Simmons (vocals, guitar) Flynn Cohen (vocals, guitar, mandolin) and Lissa Schneckenburger (vocals, fiddle), and featuring Corey DiMario (of Crooked Still and The Sweetback Sisters) on upright bass- are masterful players, composers and arrangers with deep relationships to traditional music styles ranging from bluegrass to Irish, Scottish, New England and Old Time Appalachian.  Low Lily brings music that is rooted yet contemporary and cutting edge. Recently voted #1 Most Wanted at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival (NY), and with two #1 songs on international folk radio, as well as multiple nominations for two New England Music Awards, you will not want to miss this show!

Low Lily has just released a new full-length album entitled “10,000 Days Like These” on Mad River Records, which Roots Music Report dubs “as smart with sense of pop phrasing and flair as it is roots-savvy.” Folk Radio UK says the album is “refreshing and uplifting an absolute stunner”.
