Kripalu Yoga

For the 2019/2020 season, the PCA hosts yoga classes for adults by Shekhinah Yoga. See details of each session below.

Shekhinah Yoga

New Sessions begin in September, October, January, February, and April. (Please check with Nancy Dorenfeld o confirm start dates dues to winter weather cancellations.)

As part of the Kripalu tradition, Shekhinah Yoga empowers people to realize their full potential through the transformative wisdom and practice of yoga. Inviting the breath to lead movement enables the practitioner to develop a sense of compassionate self-awareness, inviting us to open up and let go. Leave class with a sense of calm and well-being. Suitable for adults and teens. Please bring a yoga mat.

Kripalu Yoga (moderate)

Wednesdays, 9:30-10:45 a.m.; 7 weeks – $119

New sessions starting:

  • September 11 (7 weeks)
  • October 30 (7 weeks)
  • January 8 (6 weeks)
  • February 26 (6 weeks)
  • April 29 (7 weeks)

A moderately-paced class cultivating strength, balance, and suppleness in the body within a gentle, continuous movement of postures combined with breath. This practice links poses to breath to reveal body awareness, inner strength, and easeful opening. Modifications and variations offered to ensure safety and enhance flexibility. Class includes meditation and relaxation. Prior yoga experience recommended.

Kripalu Yoga (gentle)

Fridays, 9:30-10:45 a.m.; 7 weeks – $119

  • November 1
  • January 10
  • February 28
  • May 1

A peaceful and calming practice which is designed to relieve chronic tension, long-term physical imbalance, and exhaustion. For those new to yoga or current practitioners who would like a more directed practice. Emphasis on breath, stretching, strengthening, basic alignment, and relaxation.

Payment is due at beginning of session.
