Bell Tower Restoration Fund

There’s something about a ringing bell. We ring in the New Year, we love to hear wedding bells, and the movies have taught us that ringing bells give angels wings. You may not realize this, but the PCA is home to one of the few historic bell towers in Westford, which still houses the original bell from when the building was built in 1829. And in 2017, we are ringing in our 17th year of bringing art, music and live performances to the greater Westford community.

In addition to bringing new and diverse programs to the PCA, our other mission is the care and upkeep of our beautiful, historic building. We love our building and share many fond memories of moments inside those walls with all of you. Here’s an excerpt from a note we received from a couple who recently celebrated their 50th anniversary at the PCA.

"The party was a huge success and everyone loved the PCA venue. They even commented on how lucky we were to have such beautiful artwork adorning the walls. The venue is really unsurpassed… lots of natural light, great acoustics, and extremely beautiful. It certainly deserves loving care!!”

We couldn’t agree more. Our building does deserve loving care. And that brings us back to the PCA’s bell. The bell tower is such an important part of what makes our building so unique, and it’s in desperate need of repair. In the spring of 2017, we launched a fundraiser to help defray the cost of restoring it. The initial cost estimate is $35,000 to $50,000 which, for a non-profit like the PCA, is a significant expense.

Please consider making a donation to the Bell Tower Restoration Fund. Contributors to the bell tower fund will be recognized on the PCA website and those who donate $5,000 or more will be acknowledged on a plaque that will be permanently displayed at the PCA.

Please help us help us to keep ringing in season after season of memorable programs at the PCA!
