Charity Auction & Sale to benefit Cameron Senior Center

Saturday, June 30th and Sunday, July 1st, schedule listed below

More than 200 pieces of pre-owned, framed and ready-to-hang art will be offered at a gala fundraising auction and sale to be held Saturday-Sunday, June 30-July 1. All proceeds raised from the weekend event will benefit Westford’s Cameron Senior Center, its programs, activities and outreach services in the community.

Volunteers from the Friends of the Cameron Senior Center, a non-profit organization, have been gathering donations of framed art over the past two years and have assembled a sizeable and varied collection of paintings, photographs, prints and more, including works by: Ansel Adams, William Henry Bartlett, Robert Bateman, Davis Carroll, David Drachman, Arthur Clifton Goodwin, Arthur Griffin, John Holladay, Deirdre McCullough Grunwald, Joanna Kao, Elizabeth Mumford, Pamela Pindell, Maynard Reece, Emily Rossheim, and Harold Speed, among others. Everything is clean, prepared and ready to go to new homes. Plus, a few additional surprises await bidders – fresh original works donated by Westford artists including Cindi Deimantas, Bob Frank, and Alice Phalen, and photographer Tracy LeBlanc.

The weekend event opens at noon, Saturday, June 30, with free admission to an afternoon preview, silent auction, and sales until 4 p.m. An evening live auction with Ellen Harde presiding as auctioneer starts at 6 p.m., with doors open at 5 p.m. Admission for the evening, including light refreshments, is $10.

Events conclude Sunday afternoon, July 1, with free admission from noon – 2 p.m., offering the public a final opportunity to bid for silent auction items and/or purchase art on tables.
