The Crisafulli Elementary PTO is busy planning the Spring Conference Dinner for the Crisafulli Teachers and Staff. This is our opportunity to express appreciation to all the staff for making Crisafulli School such a wonderful place for our children. Any special dish you would like to prepare would be greatly appreciated.  Some suggestions are entrees, salads, sides or anything else you would like to donate. For desserts – well all desserts are great so we don’t believe any suggestions are needed!!!

If you are able to contribute, please complete the form below, enclose your donation in an envelope marked “Teacher & Staff Spring Conference Dinner” and send it back to your child’s teacher by Friday, March 24, 2017.

If you would like to contribute an entrée, salad, dessert, or a beverage, please check the appropriate box below and send this paper back to school with your child (or email  Food items will need to be delivered to the cafeteria on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 4:00 pm.

Crisafulli: Be a Seussafulli Reader

This year’s Dr. Seuss themed Seussafulli Reader Program, brought to you by the Crisafulli PTO, begins Wednesday, March 1 and runs through Friday, March 17.

Anyone can be a Seussafulli Reader!  Just read and complete the form.  Each time you read for 20 minutes, circle in one of the Hats on the coupon.  When all five hats have been circled in, fill in the information on the coupon (completely and legibly), have your parent sign it and return the form to your teacher.  Your name will automatically be entered into the weekly Friday drawing for a free book.  Winners will be announced on Tuesdays.  Additional coupons are located in your classroom, just ask your teacher.  After each weekly drawing, all coupons are discarded.  A collection of new coupons starts on Monday.

The more coupons you turn in, the greater your chances are of winning a free book!!  Reading for homework counts!!

Robinson- Star Reader Program

Star Reader runs through the end of March 2017! Your child should bring home a letter with a recording slip and an upcycled bookmark. Fill in stars for every 15 minutes of reading, turn them in, and be entered into a drawing to win a free book from the PTO! We give away about 250 books over the month, so lots of kids have a chance to win! Answers to some common questions: your child can fill out forms as quickly or slowly as they like. Some kids will turn in 2 or 3 a week, others might take two weeks to finish one. Another question is what counts as “reading”? We want to help foster a habit of reading, and a love of reading, so we are not at all strict. Reading aloud, reading silently, being read to, listening to a book on CD, using RAZ kids, any reading homework done for their teacher, etc. We want kids to have fun filling in their Stars, so whatever works for your family is perfect!

Let us know if you have any questions!  Also, get more forms on the Forms and Fliers tab of this website!

Race for Education Results

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Race for Education fundraiser and event. We have finalized all of our expenses and I am happy to report that we raised $12,300!!!! This is 4 times more than our “no fuss” fundraiser from previous years and more than our goal.

Thank you letters were sent to anyone who donated more than $75. If anyone would like a copy of their child’s donations for their own thank you’s please message me and we will have them sent home. ( or

Also, I know some families were not comfortable with the donation method and wished to donate after the fundraiser was completed. If you would like to send a donation at this time for “Invest in Your Child” a fee will not be deducted for the race. Checks can be made payable to “WEPTO-Crisafulli PTO” and is tax deductible.

The actual race day was a lot of fun and we have learned a lot if we chose to run this fundraiser again. With the profits we have already budgeted another Enrichment Program per grade, field trip funds and brainstorming additional items.

Please let me know if there are any questions or comments.
