Volunteer and job Opportunities at the Historical Society

Welcome To
The Westford Museum & Historical Society

The Westford Museum is located near the historic town Common at 2 Boston Road in Westford, Massachusetts. The office is at 4 Boston Road. The Museum houses a varied collection of artifacts typical of small towns. If your interest is genealogy, be sure and contact us as we have excellent materials covering many old Westford families.  And if old Westford houses interest you we have house histories as well. We also have an almost complete collection of Westford Academy yearbooks, many photographs of students and teachers, and other academy memorabilia. If you are looking for a gift that is uniquely Westford, be sure and check our Museum Store page.

Before you visit, double-check the Museum Calendar as there are a few holiday Sundays when we are closed.  If you're doing research don't hesitate to send an e-mail or call ahead so we can prepare for your visit.  We look forward to meeting you.

Fun for the whole family!

The first Sunday of October, November and December - 10/1, 11/5 and 12/3

Starting at 2:30 at the Museum

Nabnasset is the 5th and final theme in our Villages of Westford series. It started as a farming community and added the mills at Brookside. In the late 19th century the recreational land around Nab Lake was known as "Nabnasset Grove." A summer community built up in the 1930s and 40s, complete with a country club and summer theater.

A 4'x8' mural donated to the Museum by Terri McGrath is the centerpiece of the Nabnasset exhibit.

The Westford Historical Society needs your help for a Special Project.

The Westford Historical Society is putting together an exhibit on Westford Academy and Alumni from the start of the Westford Academy 1792 to the present. Included in the exhibit will be the history of Westford Academy and its 4 locations along with historical photos. A subset of the exhibit will be highlights on some of Westford Academy's Alumni from 1792 to the present.

We want you to be part of the Westford Academy exhibit. Please fill out the Alumni Info Form. Instructions for submitting it are found on the form. Feel free to share with your friends and family, too.
